EATON — Preble County Habitat for Humanity recently announced the hiring of a new Executive Director, Lisa Kern of Dayton.

Kern comes to Habitat from the 88th Force Support Squadron at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where she worked in Marketing. She brings with her several years of experience in non-profit fundraising, including work with The American Cancer Society and Compassion International.

“I’m looking forward to engaging the community to help us reach our goals of providing decent, affordable housing for families in need in Preble County,” Kern said. “Homeownership helps families achieve financial stability and rise out of poverty. By rallying together to help our partner families build their homes, the community ensures that its members are taken care of and they in turn can give back.”

Ron Baker, president of the Board of Directors for Preble County Habitat for Humanity said, “We welcome Lisa Kern as our Executive Director. We are looking forward to working with Lisa and feel she will be an asset in helping Preble County Habitat move forward in providing affordable housing for families in Preble County.”

Preble County Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and is a non-profit organization.
