ELDORADO — Saturday, March 24, the First Universalist Church, corner of Main Cross and Monroe Streets in Eldorado, will hold its 122nd Easter Supper & Bazaar.

The “all-you-can-eat” supper is $9 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and free for those under age 5. This year’s menu includes a delicious ham loaf, roast chicken, chicken & noodles, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, other assorted vegetable casseroles, many salads and desserts.

Serving begins at 4:30 p.m. The bazaar opens at 4 p.m., and features wonderful homemade Easter candy, noodles, cakes, cookies (make your own assortment), snack mixes, and more. Also, bazaar items featured this year are handmade stretch bracelets, cup & saucer fairy gardens, lighted wine bottle décor, microwave bowl holders, and more.

The group still makes dishcloths, scrubbies, jar openers, etc. This year the raffle will be something anyone can use – cash. There will be two $50 cash gifts and one need to be present to win.

The church has come a long way from its first “Easter Fair” in 1896 with a profit of $45. An outdoor handicap-accessible ramp on the north side of our church was the last big project of today’s women’s group. This year the group is in the process of having a wheelchair lift from the social room to the basement installed. It is the group’s hope installation will be completed by March 24.

“Hop” on over to Eldorado to check out the bazaar items and enjoy supper.
