EATON — Kettering Health Network invites the public to a community festival with music, food and fireworks, to kick off summer and celebrate in advance of the July 4th holiday.

The Boom-n-Blast Festival is being held on Sunday, June 24, from 6-9 p.m., at the Preble County Medical Center, located at 450 Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.

The Preble County Medical Center is accredited through Grandview Medical Center, a part of Kettering Health Network.

The old-fashioned patriotic celebration features free popcorn and ice cream. Buckeye Jake’s, Chuck Wagon and M&M Concessions will offer food for purchase. Kids of all ages can enjoy a free carnival with inflatables, face painting and games. Local police, fire and EMS vehicles and a MedFlight helicopter will be on display. Free health screenings and giveaways are available and there will be drawings for prizes.

The Chuck Taylors, a fun, engaging, spontaneous dance band from Cincinnati will perform during the festival.

The event will be capped off with a spectacular fireworks display at Seven Mile Park, starting at dark. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
