EATON —A search warrant led to the arrest of nine suspects on charges ranging from drug possession to obstructing official business last week.
On Friday, June 22, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers from the Eaton Police Division and the Preble County Sheriff’s Office served the search warrant at 610 Aukerman St. in the city.
The individuals arrested and charged included Brittnay Betzner, Martin Boomershine, Janes Busteed, Samantha Dillon, Darrell Griffith, Travis Hodapp, Steven Chad Jones, Nicole Sherer, and Kara Straszheim.
Some items seized during the drug bust included suspected heroin, methamphetamine, syringes, empty heroin capsules, distribution baggies, prescription pills, a digital scale and a firearm.
The nine face charges including felony drug possession (two), possession of drug abuse instruments (seven), obstructing official business (two), permitting drug abuse, an adult parole violation, and drug paraphernalia.
“Thank you again to our citizens, for your vigilance, tips and constant support,” EPD officials said in a press release Friday.
