Farm Bureau meeting to be held

EATON — The Preble County Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting and Ice Cream Social will be on Saturday, July 28, at the Preble County Fair Grounds, 722 S. Franklin St., Eaton.

The meeting will include free ice creamand a candidate’s reception at 1:30 p.m. in the Toney Building. Then check out the County Fair and many activities during the day. There is no cost for this family event. Additionally, the pubicl is welcome to stay for the business meeting, which will commence at 2 p.m. — an opportunity to learn more about Farm Bureau.

At this meeting, the Preble County Farm Bureau will focus on finalizing policy suggestions which will be taken to the Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December.

Many of the officers and committee people have worked hard this year to make the local organization what it is. Preble County has more members than ever and has committed many hours to state and national issues of importance to farmers and the agricultural community. The winners of the 2018 Scholarship Program will also be announced.

Farm Bureau families participating in the Jr. Fair this year have access to exclusive add-on money for their child’s 2018 project. Come out July 25 to the Herbert Gibson Nationwide Office at 134 N. Baron St., Eaton, to pick up our Farm Bureau stall tags from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. A donation will be made to each project for displaying this tag during the fair.
