College students encouraged to vote absentee

College students are encouraged to file an absentee ballot application for the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election, prior to leaving for college.

The application must include the registered voter’s name, home address, school address, date of birth, either the last 4 digits of their social security number or their Ohio driver’s license number, date, and signature.

Applications are being accepted in the Board of Elections Office, first floor of the Court House or by mail addressed to the Preble County Board of Elections, 101 E. Main St., Eaton, OH 45320. Deadline for accepting applications is noon, Saturday, Nov. 3.

Absentee ballots will be mailed out on or after Oct. 10. For additional information, call the Board of Elections at 937-456-8117 or 937-456-8118.
