PREBLE COUNTY — West Manchester American Legion Post 665, in conjunction with Eldorado Baptist Church, is planning a veterans walk for Saturday, Sept. 29.

The event will kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Eldorado Baptist Church with music and snacks. Then, around 7 p.m., the Walk/Roll/Run will begin and participants will travel to the American Legion Post in West Manchester.

This walk will help to sponsor veterans for Honor Flight Dayton. While the trip is free for veterans, they do incur some fees – like food and lodging. Post Commander Rocky Farmer intends to make the trip free for as many veterans as possible.

The planning committee is looking for sponsors or donations. Anyone is welcome to participate in the Walk/Roll/Run. If any veterans would like to participate, there will be a trailer to transport anyone who cannot walk the full length. For more information, contact Rocky Farmer at 937-733-2810.
