AIM Media acquires Brookville Star

BROOKVILLE — AIM Media Midwest LLC announced on Wednesday, Oct. 3, it has acquired the weekly Brookville Star newspaper serving Brookville, Ohio, from Schloss Media Inc.

In conjunction with this acquisition, AIM has sold four weekly newspapers serving Lorain County Ohio to Schloss Media Inc. The weekly newspapers in Lorain County are the Oberlin News-Tribune, Wellington Enterprise, Amherst News Times and Lorain County Community Guide.

Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

AIM Media Midwest LLC owns and operates sixteendaily newspapers and fifteen 15weekly newspapers in Ohio — including The Register-Herald in Preble County — one daily newspaper in West Virginia, a variety of weekly shopper publications, regional magazines, specialty publications, a commercial printing plant based in Miamisburg, over 40 web sites and DigitalAIM — a full service digital marketing agency.

The company is an affiliate of AIM Media Texas LLC and AIM Media Indiana LLC and all entities are managed by AIM Media Management of Dallas.
