Historical Society to host ‘Haunted Trails’

EATON — The Preble County Historical Society along with help from the Eaton MVCTC FFA Chapter will be hosting a Haunted Hayride on Friday, Oct. 12, and Friday, Oct. 19, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The Historical Society just recently unveiled its remodeled Exhibit Hall and Eaton MVCTC FFA is partnering to help run this year’s haunted hayride event. Cost is $10 per person.

The event will be open to all and will be a family-friendly activity for mature children and all adults. The price of admission includes a bonfire, drinks and snacks, as well as the wagon ride through the Haunted Trail.

The Haunted Hayride is the product of the Preble County Historical Society’s hard work, as most of the trail was overgrown and had to be re-done to incorporate room for a tractor and wagon.

The Eaton MVCTC FFA Chapter has also helped in preparing the haunted trail. Several work days were held to do trim work and prepare the scare stations along the trail.

The Preble County Historical Society is located at 7693 Swartsel Rd. Eaton.
