State Greenhand Conference held

VERSAILLES —The State Greenhand Conference was recently held at Versailles High School, for FFA Greenhand members.

When an FFA member first joins FFA he or she is considered a “greenhand” member. The State Greenhand Conference is an event held for greenhand members so they can better understand the FFA.

National Trail MVCTC Greenhand member Kiara Carrell stated, “The reason I chose to go to the greenhand conference is because I want to be more involved with the FFA.”

That was one of the main purposes of the event. The Ohio FFA State Officers wanted to inform the greenhand members who were present of the types of activities and other events FFA members can participate in.

Another National Trail MVCTC Greenhand member, Emmalie Besecker shared, “The conference changed my view because I did not know that I could be involved in so much. Not only can I be involved, I can compete in some of the activities.”

There is much greenhand can do. However, the greenhand member his or herself has to choose what he or she wants to do and how he or she wants to make a difference in the FFA.

The National Trail MVCTC FFA Chapter looks forward to the great things its greenhand members will be doing this school year.
