LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — Preble Shawnee Senior Wyatt Downard placed second in the National FFA Proficiency Award in Agricultural Mechanics Design and Fabrication. Downard was one of four people selected in his category to compete at the national finals held Oct. 28-31 in Louisville, Kentucky. Downard became eligible for the award after he won first place in his category in the state of Ohio earlier this year. Downard received a plaque and $500 for being a finalist.
