PC auditor issues report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright released her monthly financial report on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

According to Wright, during the month of October, the county’s general fund receipts totaled $808,556.89.

Sales tax revenue for October totaled $482,744.34 from August sales, Wright reported. Local Taxation totaled $32,315.64, charges for services were at $60,208.60, interest was at $23,563.99, fines and forfeitures were at $2,644.64, and other receipts were $41,089.90. Casino tax for the month of October was $121,041.09.

Expenditures

October general fund disbursements totaled $928,734.74, according to Wright. Salaries, PERS and Medicare disbursements were $476,551.51. Health insurance premiums were billed and paid in the amount of $90,075.02.

Transfers for the month included $40,247.25, $18,997.25 to Public Assistance JFS, $223 to TASC, and $21,027 to EMA.

Department expenditures included supplies ($37,992.47); equipment ($6,078.81); contract services ($197,991.98); gasoline ($5,380.90); utilities ($16,692.52); in-mate housing ($8,327.70); travel, advertising/printing and other expenses.

According to Wright, the general fund began 2018 with a balance of $5,641,243.33, and ended the month of October with $5,602,465.94.

Expenditures for the month were exceeded 2017 by $46,177.38.
