EATON — Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Are you tired, worn out, and would appreciate a kind ear, friendly heart, and support for your grandparenting? Join us on either of these sessions, Friday, Jan. 25 and Feb. 22, at 1 p.m.

Tech Support: Eaton Computer will be here the last Friday of each month teaching seniors about their technology. The topic for Friday, Jan. 25, is “What computer, printer, or back up drive should you buy?” Call to pre-register. Class begins at 10 a.m. at the Senior Activities Center.

Tax Prep Services: An AARP, IRS Certified, Tax Preparer will be at the senior activities center to offer FREE tax preparation. You must call to make an appointment at 937-456-4947, no walk-ins.

Winter Coats: We have winter coats (adult sizes) for anyone in need. Pick up a free coat at the Senior Activities Center, Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-4 pm.

Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers who would like to deliver meals to our seniors via our Home Delivered Meal (HDM) Program. Contact us if you are interested in driving one time a month, one time a week, or anything in between. 937-456-4947

Lunch with Jake: Jake Dailey is a volunteer with the U.S. Veterans Administration. “Lunch with Jake” is an opportunity for veterans to ask questions and get information about services available through the Veterans Administration while enjoying lunch in the Decade’s Diner at the Preble County Activities Center, located at 800 East St. Clair Street in Eaton. Jake also has a lot of knowledge about Preble County. In addition, Jake wants input about possible trips that would be of interest to men. He will also provide information about activities at the Senior Activities Center that would be of interest to men. “Lunch with Jake” will take place the second and fourth Monday of every month, from 11 a.m.-1 pm.

Tai Chi: We have a GREAT NEW Instructor, Cindy Schneider, Occupational Therapist, teaching Tai Chi with a Qi-Qong warm up. Tai Chi incorporates moves to facilitate balance, coordination, strength, endurance and memory. Classes are on Mondays from noon-1 p.m. at the senior center. Pre-registration is a must, space is limited, cost is $5 members, $15 non-members. 937-456-4947

Travel Show: Come in and hear further details and register for our new and exciting trips of 2019. A few trips we will talk about are The Garst Museum, U.S. Air Force Museum, Loveland Castle, Hair Spray at Beef and Boards, and more. This event is happening on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m. in Decade’s Diner at the Senior Activities Center. Prizes will be given away!

Old Mason Winery: Old Mason Winery and Vineyard has been in business since April 2013. They are a family owned and operated winery. They wanted to bring a winery to the community because of their love of visiting wineries and trails. Experience their award winning wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This trip is Tuesday, June 4, call and sign up today.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Houston Astros: We invite you to join us on a motor coach trip to the Great American Ball Park. Join us for this day game on Wednesday, June 19, call to reserve your spot.

Air Force Museum: The museum dates its origins back to 1923 when it opened to the public in an aircraft hangar at the edge of McCook Field near downtown Dayton. When McCook Field closed in 1927, the museum moved to the new Wright Field, and in 1935, it moved again to a new building constructed by the WPA. Find out much more when you join us for this trip on Tuesday, April 23.
