PREBLE COUNTY — Preble County Retired Teachers Association President Harold Niehaus has announced dates for the 2019 PCRTA meetings: April 9, June 11, Sept. 10 and Nov. 12. Current members will receive newsletter reminders regarding each meeting.
The group welcomes new members at all meetings, and informs local retirees of current legislature, health care issues, and current topics, as well as issues raised by members. Local initiatives include “Tools for Schools,” which provides school supplies for students, and new for 2019, the PCRTA scholarship for a Preble County student pursuing education classes. More information on the group is available at www.pcrta.org.
“Join us April 9 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2139 Enterprise Rd., (Ingomar), West Alexandria at noon for a great meal, good friends, a short business meeting, and entertainment by students from West Elkton Intermediate School Music Department, directed by Cody McPherson,” Niehaus said. “This talented group performed for us last year, and we are looking forward to their return.”
The menu for the lunch includes ham loaf, cheesy potatoes, broccoli, perfection salad, rolls, beverages and pie.
