NEW PARIS — National Trail Alumni Association held its annual car show on Saturday, April 13. All proceeds from the event go to alumni scholarships for National Trail students.
According to NTAA Vice President Dane Mowen, this is the association’s only fundraising event and they raise enough for approximately four scholarships each year.
“We do it for the kids. Some kids need that additional help for scholarships, so we do what we can,” he said. “Depending on the weather, we are looking for 80-100 cars. We also get a good crowd around the afternoon, they come out and view these wonderful masterpieces.
“I’m an old car fanatic, I have one myself, but I love the camaraderie between the people and how they help the kids. This is the first car show of the year, in the whole area. Success is because it is the first and we normally have good weather.”
