PCFB Awards Scholarships

PREBLE COUNTY — The Preble County Farm Bureau rewarded five deserving applicants through its annual scholarship program.

Carley Asher of Eaton is receiving a $500 scholarship. She is the daughter of Kara Stevenson. Asher will graduate this spring from Preble Shawnee High School and attended Miami Valley Career Technology Center where she was part of the Veterinary Science Program. Asher will attend Wilmington College this fall to study agricultural business.

Haley Back of West Alexandria is receiving a $1,000 scholarship. She is the daughter of Jerry and Heather Back. She is a 2017 graduate of Twin Valley South High School and is currently attending Wright State University and will transfer to The Ohio State University for agriculture education this fall.

Emily Dungan of Eaton is receiving a $1,000 scholarship. She is the daughter of Chris and Trudy Dungan. She will graduate this spring from Eaton High School and attended Miami Valley Career Technology Center where she was part of the Veterinary Science Program. Dungan will attend Morehead University in Kentucky where she will study animal science.

Chyann Kendel of Eaton is receiving a $500 scholarship. She is the daughter of Chuck and Tere Kendel. She is a 2018 graduate of Twin Valley South High School and currently attends Wilmington College pursuing a degree in Food Policy & Agriculture Advocacy and Education.

Alysa Sorrell of Eaton is receiving a $500 scholarship. She is the daughter of Eric and Sara Sorrell. She will graduate this spring from Eaton High School. Sorrell plans to study speech and language pathology at Bowling Green State University.
