EATON — The annual Boom-N-Blast Festival in Eaton moved to the Preble County Fairgrounds this year, in hopes of providing more parking and increasing attendance. The event was held on Sunday, June 30, and provided fun, food, and fireworks for the whole family. According to Grandview Medical Center Administrative Director Jeremy Meredith, the event was held at the Preble County Medical Center for the past several years. There was a lot to do at Boom-N-Blast, including: live entertainment, face painting, free snow cones and popcorn, local food vendors, bounce houses, community booths, health and wellness booths, tons of gifts and prizes, and a fireworks show to end the night. There are still several opportunities for viewing fireworks and enjoying family fun, this week including festivities in West Alexandria on Thursday, July 4, Hueston Woods on Friday, July 5, Natural Springs Resort in New Paris on Saturday, July 6, in Lakengren from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, and at the Preble County Historical Society for Old Fashioned Independence Day from 5-10 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.
