PC auditor issues report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright released her monthly financial report on Wednesday, July 10.

According to Wright, during the month of June, the county’s general fund receipts totaled $728,762.37.

Sales tax revenue for June totaled $524,986.06 from April sales, Wright reported. Local Taxation totaled $30,198.80, charges for services were at $87,394.57, interest was at $37,469.08, and fines and forfeitures were at $2,515.63. The next Casino Tax receipt will be in July.

The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $10,027.20 and there were no expenditures for the month.

Expenditures

June general fund disbursements totaled $808,607.16, according to Wright.

Salaries, P.E.R.S. and Medicare disbursements for June were $490,570.23. There were no transfers for the month.

Total Expenditures were $808,607.16 and included supplies ($25,729.55); contract services ($139,750.54); health insurance ($84,174.57); utilities ($10,474.69); equipment ($30,871.55); gasoline ($10,200.73), training/travel, adv/printing, and other expenses ($16,835.30).

According to Wright, the general fund began 2019 with a balance of $5,222,821.98, and ended the month of June with $5,789,833.63.

Expenditures for the month were less than what they were in 2018 by $157,445.91: supplies were down by $2,131.33, contracted services up by $41,248.45, other expenses were up by $2,879.45, utilities were down by $452.68, and equipment was down by $21,808.73.
