PREBLE COUNTY — Preble County Sheriff’s deputies earlier this week arrested two people after executing a narcotics related search warrant.

According to Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson, on Tuesday July 16, deputies served a search warrant at 4626 New Market-Banta Road after a short-term investigation into suspected trafficking in drugs.

Deputies removed a large amount of evidence, including suspected marijuana, supplies consistent with trafficking in marijuana, drug paraphernalia, scales and $6,356 in cash, according to Simpson.

Arrested at the residence was Alexander J. Gregory, age 25, and Tiffany A. Cooper, age 24. Both were living at the residence. They have been charged in Eaton Municipal Court with tampering with evidence, trafficking in marijuana, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Simpson, Gregory has a criminal history for trafficking in drugs in Ohio and is also being held on an outstanding felony warrant from Greene County for drug-related charges.

At press time, Gregory remained in the Preble County Jail. Cooper has posted bond.
