Baby contest held at the fair

EATON — The annual Preble County Fair Cutest Baby Contest was held on Sunday, July 28, in coordination with Imagination Station Learning Center. Overall winners were Jace Nicely and Aubree Fisher.

The contest was held in the Toney Building. The theme for the contest was “Country/Western.”

Children had to be from newborn to five years old and proof of age had to be made available upon request. All children had to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Contestants were encouraged to dress for the Country/Western theme. Contestants were also entered into three categories, plus overall winner.

This year, a parent/child look alike category was added for all age classes. It was judged based on stage presence, originality, and similarity.

A panel of judges decided the winners of each class and category. Judging was completed and awards were announced after each age group finished. All contestants received a ribbon for participation. Winners in each age group received a trophy.

The titles of “Preble County’s Cutest Lil’ Cowboy” and “Preble County’s Cutest Lil’ Cowgirl” were given to the two overall winners, plus cash prizes and trophies.

Categories included: Cutest Boy/Girl, Best Costume, Best Costume Props, Best Stage Presence, Best Hair, Best Smile, Parent/Child Look-a-like, and Prettiest Eyes.

For ages zero to three months: Andrew Buriff won cutest boy and Tina Fuchs won cutest girl.

For ages four to six months: T.J. Clarkston won cutest boy and Maizie Smith won cutest girl.

For ages seven to 12 months: Jackson Bulach won cutest boy and Evelynn Kline won cutest girl.

For ages 13-18 months: Malachi Kohl won cutest boy and Kylee Cameron won cutest girl.

For ages 19-23 months: Zariah Moses won cutest boy and Kayla Dillon won cutest girl.

For age two years old: Spencer Deaton won cutest boy and Aubree Fisher won cutest girl.

For age three years old: Bryson Alexander won cutest boy and Clara Holt won cutest girl.

For ages four to five years old: Jace Nicely won cutest boy and Sophia Mills won cutest girl.

Jace Nicely was crowned Preble County’s Cutest Lil’ Cowboy and Aubree Fisher was crowned Preble County’s Cutest Lil’ Cowgirl.
