PC auditor issues report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright released her monthly financial report on Monday, Aug. 12.

According to Wright, during the month of July, the county’s general fund receipts totaled $821,272.47.

Sales tax revenue for June totaled $498,779.16 from May sales, Wright reported. Local Taxation totaled $31,296.10, charges for services were at $59,703.24, interest was at $47,642.41, and fines and forfeitures were at $3,089.25. Casino Tax came in at $127,917.13.

The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $17,479.30 and expenditures were $22,000.

Expenditures

July general fund disbursements totaled $959,935.80, according to Wright.

Salaries, P.E.R.S. and Medicare disbursements for July were $485,296.15. Transfers totalled $38,233.10 for the month, including $64 for TASC and $38,169.10 for Preble County Extension Office grant check.

Total Expenditures were $959,935.80 and included supplies ($35,135.66); contract services ($148,349.23); health insurance ($91,003.60); utilities ($13,246.49); equipment ($122,596.70); gasoline ($5,868.52), training/travel, adv/printing, and other expenses ($16,159.35).

According to Wright, the general fund began 2019 with a balance of $5,222,821.98, and ended the month of July with $5,651,170.30.

Expenditures for the month were less than what they were in 2018 by $308,818.04: supplies were down by $1,317.88, contracted services down by $225,941.25, other expenses were down by $1,600.93, utilities were up by $1,695.92, and equipment was down by $98,342.75.
