EATON — During the Preble County Commissioners meeting on Monday, Aug. 26, the board heard the Preble County EMA monthly report from Director Dave Anderson. He shared:

•A full-scale exercise at National Trail Local School District has been postponed until 2020. Anderson does not know the reason for the delay, but added, there is no date set yet.

•Anderson recently participated in the full-scale exercise with the Wayne County LEPC. The primary goal of that exercise was to ensure there were communications between the first responders. Anderson added, this exercise was a success and helped him learn more about Wayne County and how they handle emergency situations.

•CERT had a busy month by assisting the Preble County Sheriff’s Department with the Preble County Fair, assisting Eaton Police Division with traffic control for the Preble County Fair parade, and collaborating with Downtown Eaton Inc. on the car show held recently.

In other business:

•The board authorized use of the county credit card to the Preble County Sheriff and Paul Plaugher with the Sheriff’s Department.

•Commission Clerk Kim Keller discussed scheduling of budget hearings with the board.
