PC auditor issues report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright released her monthly financial report on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

According to Wright, during the month of August, the county’s general fund receipts totaled $1,842,020.72.

Sales tax revenue for August totaled $485,281.07 from June sales, Wright reported. Local Taxation totaled $45,567.27, charges for services were at $218,172.14, interest was at $82,719.15, and fines and forfeitures were at $3,323.69. The next Casino Tax came will be in October.

The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $14,868.90 and there were no expenditures for the month.

Expenditures

August general fund disbursements totaled $998,290.29, according to Wright.

Salaries, P.E.R.S. and Medicare disbursements for August were $506,615.93. Transfers totalled $74,149.25 for the month, including $21,027 for EMA, $34,125 for Engineer, and $18,997.25 for Job and Family Services.

Total Expenditures were $998,290.29 and included supplies ($23,489.66); contract services ($140,090.94); health insurance ($94,905.02); utilities ($12,458.55); equipment ($129,630.15); gasoline ($646.25), training/travel, adv/printing, and other expenses ($16,134.54).

According to Wright, the general fund began 2019 with a balance of $5,222,821.98, and ended the month of August with $6,494,900.73.

Expenditures for the month were less than what they were in 2018 by $220,641.98: supplies were down by $7,949.56, contracted services down by $203,589.63, other expenses were down by $6,928.03, gasoline was down by $9,899.33, and equipment was up by $9,899.33.
