Eaton FFA sponsors Kiddie Tractor Pull

EATON — For many years the Eaton FFA has sponsored the Kiddie Tractor Pulls at the Preble County Fair and the Preble County Pork Festival. This year is no different, but a few changes have been made this year to increase participation and accommodate parents and spectators.

The events have been moved from Bruner Arena (PC Fair) and Rotary Junction (PC Pork Festival) to the track in front of the grandstands.

Participation at the fair was at an all-time high with 50 kiddie pullers from the ages of three years old to eight years old. Pullers were split into three age divisions, and trophies were handed out to the top three in each division. Eaton FFA was happy to have an announcer from the National Tractor Pullers Association call the event, Denver Geitchy, and Marvin Eperson and Bane Welker who provided the tractors and sled, and other equipment.

The next Kiddie Pull will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22, at noon, in front of the grandstands at the Preble County Pork Festival. Sign-ups will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the track. The event will also have a special guest announcer, Dale Minyo. He is the morning and mid-day farm broadcaster from Ohio Ag Net.

Eaton MVCTC FFA Chapter will be hosting a Kiddie Tractor Pull on Sunday, Sept. 22, at noon at the grandstands during the Preble County Pork Festival.
