EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright released her monthly financial report on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
According to Wright, during the month of September, the county’s general fund receipts totaled $1,047,773.46.
Sales tax revenue for September totaled $533,109.86 from July sales, Wright reported. Local taxation totaled $226,745.98, charges for services were at $84,665.13, interest was at $95,287.52, and fines and forfeitures were at $3,414.41. The next Casino Tax to come in will be in October.
The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $12,122.50 and there were no expenditures for the month.
Expenditures
September general fund disbursements totaled $853,793.62, according to Wright.
Salaries, P.E.R.S. and Medicare disbursements for September were $487,362.03. Transfers totalled $37,044.05 for the month, including $19,084.55 for Ohio State Ag Society and $17,959.50 for Job and Family Services.
Total Expenditures were $853,793.62 and included supplies ($26,055.40); contract services ($139,562.08); health insurance ($92,845.88); utilities ($11,765.35); equipment ($28,784.43); gasoline ($12,164.35), training/travel, adv/printing, and other expenses ($18,104.74).
According to Wright, the general fund began 2019 with a balance of $5,222,821.98, and ended the month of September with $6,688,880.57.
Expenditures for the month were more than what they were in 2018 by $31,891.26: supplies were down by $2,057.56, contracted services down by $49,813.68, other expenses were up by $118.83, gasoline was up by $5,748.21, and equipment was up by $24,326.66.
