On Tuesday, Jan. 12, the Eaton Fire Department responded to a single car accident about a mile east of the Eaton city limits on U.S. 35, in front of Twin Valley Equipment. A car traveling east went off the road and hit a pole, snapping the pole in half. No injuries were reported in the accident but U.S. 35 was closed for several hours because of the downed power lines.
