WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Kiwanis Club of West Alexandria would like to thank all those who participated in “Dial A Santa.”

Almost 100 calls from children two to 16 years of age were transferred to the North Pole to talk to Santa during the two evenings of Dial A Santa. The calls came from many areas including all areas of Preble County, Dayton, other areas of Ohio and even a call from Florida.

Yes, they have Christmas in Florida, too.

All of the children were extremely happy and anxious to talk to Santa. Santa reported that many different gifts were requested such as a bike, basketball shoes, hover board, dolls, and a puppy.

One child asked for “everything.”

The Kiwanis members look forward to providing this service to the community next year. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child, and one community at a time.
