CAMDEN —The Preble Shawnee FFA held its monthly Junior High Ag meeting on Monday, Dec. 7. Chapter Student Advisor, Caleb Moore, is responsible for putting together a monthly activity for the junior high students who are interested in becoming a future FFA member.

At this meeting the group discussed the importance of communication, the activities done at this meeting consist of: one person drawing a picture that is being described to them by a partner and a left and right poem. They also briefly discussed team work and did a human table activity to go along with it.

The January meeting was held on Monday, Jan. 4, and was led by Carmen Kennel. The theme for the meeting was food science.

All students in attendance to the meeting had the opportunity to explore a career in food science. Furthermore, students made ice cream in a bag by shaking it. Next, students were given three samples to pick out the different food samples. The samples included two types of chips and a cola drink.

The Preble Shawnee students in attendance at these two events had a great time and are really looking forward to the February meeting where students will be attending a Ohio FFA Leadership night hosted by the National Trail FFA.
