Day of Caring

The 2020 Day of Caring will be hosted by Eaton United Church of Christ on Sunday, Feb. 23. Pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost of the meal for adults is $6 (children and seniors, $4). 100 percent of the profit stays in Preble County and is used by the HIT Foundation to fight hunger and homelessness. CCC Small Group Ministries

Community Christian Church of West Alexandria is beginning its Small Group Ministries for 2020. Everyone is invited to attend. If interested, call the church office at 937-839-4988. The monthly Men’s Breakfast will be at 9 a.m. on March 7. All men are invited. The church is located at 11 Dorsey Akers Rd., West Alexandria.

New Griefshare class offered in Camden

Somerville Community Church welcomes mobile clinic

Premier Community Health Mobile Clinic is coming to Somerville, Saturday, Feb. 29, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The church is located at 207 South Walnut Street in Somerville. This is a free clinic and includes physician consultation, A1c test, blood pressure check, cholesterol test and flu shots. For more information, call Pastor Mark Crary at 937-671-7245. The Mobile Clinic will be parked in the church parking lot.

Visitation Church community dinners and events

Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, will have its monthly community dinner on the following Thursdays in 2020: Feb. 27, March 26, April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30, Aug. 27, Sept. 24, Oct. 29, Nov. 19, and Dec. 17. There is no charge for the meal which is served from 4:00 until 5:30 in the church hall. Attendees should enter at the entrance off the parking lot. Everyone is welcome. The church has two upcoming events planned. The first is an Introduction to Lectio Divina called Praying the Scriptures on Saturday, Feb. 29 10 a.m. until noon. Contact Father David Doseck at 937-456-3380 for any questions. The second focuses on “No Greater Love,” which is a workbook with video of the Holy Land. This is the Journey of Christ from the Garden of Gethsemane to Mount Calvary. It will be in six sessions with two times available: Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. from Feb. 26 until April 1 and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. from March 3 until April 7. Awana, Youth Ministry Wednesday nights in Camden

The First Southern Baptist Church in Camden has resumed a new year of AWANA Bible Club for ages Pre -school through 6th grade each Wedesday night from 6:30-8 p.m. Student Pastor Joel Betts invites any youth in 7-12th grade for worship and Bible study to join in on Wednesday nights as well.
