PREBLE COUNTY — A West Manchester man died as a result of a crash involving a semitrailer on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Dennis Glander, 66, died in the head-on crash which occurred north of Eaton on U.S. 127.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol reports, Glander went left of center and struck the semitrailer which had stopped to turn left from U.S. 127 onto Interstate 70 East.

Alfred Firestone, 63, of Dayton, who was driving the semi, was not injured according to reports.

The crash was reported at approximately 12:30 p.m. U.S. 127 was shutdown in both directions for several hours.

Potential factors in the crash were still under investigation, OSP officials said last week.
