EUCC Bible School

Eaton United Church of Christ Bible School, “Jesus to the Rescue” will run July 6-10 on Facebook. Search on Facebook for Eaton United Church of Christ. Lessons, songs, interviews and challenges will be recorded daily at 10 a.m. and can be watched at any time. Special events will be held throughout the week and announced during the daily broadcast.

Community meals — Free monthly community meals will resume by carry-out only, each last Thursday of the month, 4-5:30 p.m. Drive into the parking lot off Vine Street, pick up a meal, and leave the parking lot by either Franklin Street or U.S. 35. Meals will be delivered to the vehicles. There is no need to get out of the car. Walk-ups will also be served. The church is located at 407 East Main Street, Eaton.

Garage sale — The garage sale will be at 416 Lexington Ave., Eaton, on Thursday and Friday, July 16-17, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., each day. There are tables and tables of everything imaginable, according to organizers. Most will be sold on a donations-only basis. Friday will be “all you can get into a bag”day. There will be a table of special items which will priced.

Quilt raffle — The church will not hold the annual Christmas Bazaar due to COVID-19. There will be a quilt raffle of several quilts, however, and sales will kick off at the garage sale on July 16 and 17.

Proceeds remain in the Preble County area. Among the projects supported are the monthly community meals, the Foodbank, an annual scholarship, clothing, coats, and warm weather gear for those who need it and many other projects as the need arises. “There is a great need at this time and we count on the garage sale, and in years past, the bazaar, to support our giving. This year we hope to have a successful raffle to help us fulfill our needs,” organizers said.
