EATON —The Preble County Board of Elections is now accepting applications for absentee ballots for the March 15, 2016 Primary Election.

Voters may request an absentee ballot by mail. The request must include name, home address, the mailing address to which the ballot is to be mailed (if different than home address), date of birth, Ohio driver’s license number or the last four digits of one’s social security number, signature, date, and declaration of political party. Applications may be printed from the board of elections website, www.electionsonthe.net/oh/preble.

Requests for absentee ballots must be in writing, the Board of Elections can not accept requests over the telephone. A request by fax is also not acceptable.

Mail the completed absentee ballot request to the Preble County Board of Elections, 101 E. Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320. Deadline for mail-in absentee ballot applications is noon, Saturday, March 12.

All voted absentee ballots must be received at the board office by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day if delivered in person, or have a March 14, 2016 postmark if mailed.

Voters may vote at the board office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. now through March 4. March 7 through March 11, voters may vote in the office from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. The board office will also be open additional hours on Saturday, March 5 and March 12, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, March 13, from 1-5 p.m.

The last day to vote in the board office is Monday, March 14, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
