Jr. Fair Royalty crowned

NEW PARIS — Hannah Lee and Morgan Dare were crowned Preble County Jr. Fair Queen and King during a ceremony at National Trail High School on Saturday, June 19.

Katelyn Meeks and Ty Stevenson were first runner-ups, and Rebecca Wright and Zane Owens were named second runner-ups.

Personal interviews took place early in the day prior to the public portion of the event, which began at 7 p.m.

Again this year, the Jr. Fair will have a representative for each species and a representative for the Clothing and Textiles, Nutrition and Foods and the Arts.

All positions were open to both male and females who have a project entered in the fair through 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Camp Fire Girls, Boys and girls clubs or Girls Scouts. Close to 40 participants took part in the contest.

Lee, 16, represented the Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club and National Trail MVCTC FFA. She is the daughter of Jason and Abby Lee.

Dare, 17, of Eaton, represented the Eaton MVCTC FFA. He is the son of Mike and Melissa Dare.

Meeks, 18, of Eaton, represented the Cloverettes 4-H Club and Preble Lambs Unlimited 4-H Club. She is the daughter of Jim and Beth Meeks.

Stevenson, 18, of Eaton, represented the Preble County Livestock 4-H Club. He is the son of Ami and Scott Stevenson.

Wright, 19, of Eaton, represented the Spic-N-Span Pots-N-Pans 4-H Club and the Eaton MVCTC FFA. She is the daughter of Bryan and Beth Wright.

Owens, 15, of Lewisburg, represented the Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. He is the son of Aaron and Amy Owens.

Livestock/Non-Livestock Royalty

Beef Queen — Libby Giffen, 18, Camden, representing Somers Super Beef and Eaton MVCTC FFA. Libby is the daughter of Dave and Dorothy Giffen.

Canine Queen — Madison Dawson, 12, Ross, representing Tailwaggers 4-H Club. Madison is the daughter of Hope and Daniel Bulach.

Dairy Queen — Claire Sorrell, 18, Eaton, representing Ultimate Livestock 4-H Club and Eaton MVCTC FFA. Claire is the daughter of Eric and Sara Sorrell.

Goat King — Wade Mann, II, 15, New Paris, representing All-Star Livestock 4-H Club. Wade is the son of Wade and Jennifer Little-Mann.

Goat Queen — Kendall Miller, 16, Camden, representing Preble County Livestock and Eaton MVCTC FFA. Kendall is the daughter of Joe and Malissa Miller.

Horse Princess — Bailey Garnett, 11, Somerville, representing Camden Saddle Pals 4-H Club. Bailey is the daughter of Tim and Ashley Garnett.

Horse Prince — Beau Garnett, 12, Somerville, representing Camden Saddle Pals 4-H Club. Beau is the son of Tim and Ashley Garnett.

Horse King — Haven Johnson, 14, Germantown, representing Camden Saddle Pal 4-H Club. Haven is the son of Terry and Nichole Johnson.

Lamb/Wool Queen — Hayley Moore, 18, Brookville, representing Preble County Young Farmers. Hayley is the daughter of Holly Haworth and Steve Moore.

Nutrition, Textiles and Arts King — Ethan Kosier, 13, Eaton, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club. Ethan is the son of Michel and Shari Kosier.

Nutrition, Textiles and Arts Queen — Miranda Ott, 14, Eldorado, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club. Miranda is the daughter of Janet and Brad Ott.

Pork Queen — Tiara Miles, 17, Eaton, representing Washington Twp. Livestock 4-H Club and Eaton MVCTC FFA. Tiara is the daughter of Matt and Tiffany James.

Poultry Queen — Sonja Friend, 16, Eaton, representing Busy Bees 4-H Club. Sonja is the daughter of Brad and Necoleia Friend.

Rabbit King — Kyle Saul, 18, West Alexandria, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club. Kyle is the son of Wes and Kim Saul.

Rabbit Queen — Jillian Overmyer, 15, West Alexandria, representing Spic N Span Pots N Pans 4-H Club. Jillian is the daughter of Michael and Jenifer Overmyer.

The Preble County Fair is scheduled to for July 31-Aug. 7
