Board of Elections announces general election registration deadlines

PREBLE COUNTY — The Nov. 2 General Election voter registration deadline for new registrations and address and name changes is Monday, Oct. 4. The Preble County Board of Elections office, 101 E. Main St., Eaton, will be open Oct. 4 until 9 p.m. for those who wish to register or change their name/address.

Registration or changes may also be completed online at https://www.ohiosos.gov or at the Eaton License Bureau, any public library, high school, or assisted programs office in Preble County by the Oct. 4 deadline.

In-person voting for the Nov. 2 General Election will be held at the Preble County Courthouse, 101 E. Main St., Eaton, and the voting hours are:

Oct. 5-15 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.

Oct. 18-22 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Oct. 25-29 – 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Oct. 30 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.

Oct. 31 – 1-5 p.m., Sunday.

Nov. 1 – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday.

Vote by mail absentee ballot applications may be printed from the Preble County Board of Elections website, https://www.boe.ohio.gov/preble, or the Ohio Secretary of State’s website, https://www.ohiosos.gov.

Voters may also contact the office, 937-456-8117, to request the mail absentee ballot application be sent to their home. All mail absentee ballot applications must be completed, signed, and returned to the Preble County Board of Elections office by noon, Saturday, Oct. 30.
