2021 Election: Gasper Township Trustee

The following candidates are running in the Nov. 2 general election for Gasper Township Trustee (two openings), with terms commencing Jan. 1, 2022.

Rick Coggeshall

Occupation: Operations Manager.

Past Political Position Held: Two separate terms on LPOA board.

Education: High school graduate, ITT TECH for HVAC, some college for business and accounting.

Community Involvement: Volunteer for events in the township. I was instrumental in supplying the steel at a 30 percent reduced cost for the grudge barges in Lakengren.

Why are you the most qualified candidate for the position?

I have over 25 years experience in management. Five years experience in road working road construction. I am very skilled in communicating, organizing, problem solving, and cost savings.

What are the most crucial issues facing the office you are seeking, and how would you address it?

Supporting the needs of your township. Assure roads are clear and safe to travel during bad weather. Keeping the roads android sides in good condition. Keeping our first responders equipment and training updated, with constant improvement to best serve our township.

If elected or re-elected, what would be your chief priorities?

Get a good assessment of what the existing trustees are faced with. Develop a short term plan and long term plan to address any issues at hand or possible upcoming issues.

If elected, I will work hard for our township. I Have been a resident in the community for over 25 years, and know I can be an asset. With experience in management, and road construction I believe I would be a township trustee to help serve our community. I would ask that you support my candidacy for township trustee.
