EATON – The Board of the Preble County Chamber of Commerce has selected Karen Moss as its next executive director. Moss will succeed Leslie Collins, who became the Community Development Specialist for the City of Eaton in September after serving the Chamber for the past four years.

“Karen is a positive and energetic leader with a wealth of experience spanning three decades and traversing a variety of administrative and leadership roles in the legal, non-profit, community, and education fields.” said Chamber Board President Cindy Kaufman. “The board is excited to work with Karen as our new executive director and confident that the Chamber will be well positioned under her guidance to thrive in the years to come.”

Prior to joining the Chamber, Moss was the assistant director of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute in the College of Engineering and Computing at Miami University. She spent more than two decades with Miami University, was formerly the ministry director at Hamilton Christian Center, and currently serves as the Mayor in her hometown of Camden, Ohio.

“I appreciate the board’s confidence in me, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead such a great organization,” Moss said. “As a graduate of the 2019-2020 cohort of the Leadership Preble County program, I know first-hand the impact of the Chamber to educate, engage, and create excitement in Preble County. The Chamber is essential to the success of our business community, and I know we can move forward and continue to provide excellent services and programs to our members.”

As executive director, Moss will work closely with the community and the Chamber Board to be an advocate for business growth and professional engagement in Preble County.
