PREBLE COUNTY — The Ohio Department of Transportation has released its weekly construction update for the week ending Saturday, April 23.
The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Preble County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. For construction information and statewide information regarding road conditions, visit ODOT on the web at www.Ohgo.com.
Interstate-70 bridge rehabilitation and resurfacing — From the Indiana State line to the Montgomery County line. A shoulder closure will be in effect on I-70 West, between the Orangeburg Road overpass and the U.S. 35 interchange, for asphalt/concrete removal at the ramps to and from the westbound rest area. Traffic on the mainline continues to be maintained in two lanes in either direction, and a reduced speed limit will also be in effect. The entire project is scheduled for completion in summer 2022.
Countywide vegetation clearing — At various locations throughout the county. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed during hours of operation.
Countywide guardrail repair — At various locations throughout the county. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed during hours of operation.
Ohio 177 & Ohio 725 paving — On Ohio 177, between the Butler/Preble County line and the Indiana State line, and on Ohio725, between Indiana and the western corporation limit of the village of Camden. Preliminary work is under way for preventive maintenance/chip-sealing on both routes. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers, daily from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The project is scheduled to be completed in late summer of 2022.
U.S. 35 pavement repairs — At various locations in both directions along the route. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed during hours of operation.
U.S. 35 culvert replacement — Near Circle Lane, east of Eaton. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed during hours of operation.
U.S. 127 bridge maintenance — Over Swann-Beatty Road, between Camden College Corner Road and Ohio 744. Single-lane restrictions will be in effect during daylight hours, Wednesday, April 20 through Monday, April 25. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones, and/or flaggers. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late summer 2022.
I-70 vegetation clearing – — At various locations in both directions on I-70. Traffic will be maintained with arrow boards and/or traffic cones.
