CAMDEN — In observance of the National Day of Prayer, Pastor Greg Jackson of First Southern Baptist Church in Camden held a prayer at the gazebo at noon and 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5. Jackson invited the public to come pray for whatever they needed.

The rain did not stop the community from coming together to pray for the nation, state and Camden. Over 20 people attended the services.

The prayers featured topics including the federal government, state government, local government, first responders, families, schools and their administration, and church. The day focused on bringing wisdom, safety, and love to all.

The attendees did not leave anyone out of their prayers. “They prayed for the crisis in Ukraine and all the forces overseas. They prayed for unity in our nation in an hour of great polarization,” said Pastor Jackson.
