NEW — A Talk with Paul Stutzman – Eaton Branch on Saturday, June 25, at 2 p.m.

After losing his wife to cancer, Paul Stutzman sensed a tug on his heart and a call to pursue a dream. He left his job, traveled to Georgia and took his fire steps on the 2,176-mile Appalachian Trail. After completing the trek, which took four and a half months, Paul wrote Hiking Through: One Man’s Journey to Peace and Freedom on the Appalachian Trail. In the summer of 2010, he heeded the call to adventure and pedaled his bicycle 5,000 miles across America. His experience is recorded in his book Biking Across America: My Coast-to-Coast Adventure and the People I Met Along the Way. He has documented several more adventures and published many more books. Paul will be speaking about his experiences hiking the Appalachian Trail and other adventures at the Eaton Branch on Saturday, June 25, at 2 p.m..

NEW — TBC – Gone to the Woods by Gary Paulsen – Tuesday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m.

Welcome Teen Book Club. Grades 6+ can request a free copy from their branch here: http://bit.ly/pcdltbc. Read the book and join us on June 28, at 3:30 p.m. outside of the Eaton Branch for a discussion.

• Some snacks are provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own.

• Our discussions are casual. You’re not being graded. There is no right or wrong answer. There is no pressure to have everything understood & figured out before you arrive at Book Club. It’s okay if you didn’t like the book or didn’t ‘get’ the book. Different perspectives make the discussion more fun.

If you are unable to make it to the meeting, please let us know in advance. You can still post a review on GoodReads

(http://bit.ly/tbcresponses ) to discuss it with other teens.
