Bistro seeks new tenant

EATON — Positive Points is looking for a dedicated visionary to revive and re-envision the former Bistro at Eagle’s Point in Eaton. The Bistro, a pay it forward restaurant that also hosted community meals, closed amidst the pandemic in 2020. Because the restaurant is missed by the community, Positive Points is looking for a new tenant to provide healthy and fresh food options.

The former bistro space is equipped with a full kitchen and a service area that can accommodate over 50 people, although the seating area can be reimagined to include a market or community space. A walk-in refrigerator and freezer, grill and prep line, are all included in the space as well as cookware, bakeware and service sets.

“This is an exciting time to bring a new tenant into the space as the other properties at Eagle’s Point are also hatching new activities,” Positive Points representatives said in a press release. “The Star Theatre will begin showing movies, concerts, and live performances later this summer. Positive Points is also working on a partnership to bring activity into the gymnasium.”

The release continues, “Positive Points recognizes the challenges of opening a new restaurant, especially in the current economic climate and encourages interested individuals to bring new ideas for food service to the table. For the right candidate, Positive Points is prepared to offer rent accomodations and start up assistance to help ensure success.

“If you think you have what it takes to revitalize this community gem, Positive Points invites you to explore options further. Positive Points will host an open house where you can tour the facility, ask questions and meet our staff. If, after attending the open house, you would like to proceed, an application will be required.”

Applications will be accepted until July 15. The open house is scheduled for July 5, 6-7 p.m.

Positive Points is focused on a sustainable community which supports its residents through a living wage and good quality of life. “When you think positive, positive things happen.”
