EATON — Grammy Award-winning guitarist Bill Mize will bring his mastery of fingerstyle guitar to Taffy’s (123 E. Main St.) on Saturday, May 7. Mize will take the stage after opening act Bill Price goes on at 8 p.m.

Mize’s clean, bare-souled acoustic sound has taken top honors at the National Fingerstyle Guitar Competition at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, called the “U.S. Open of guitar competitions” by Guitar Player Magazine. His work with musician/storyteller David Holt on Stellaluna netted a Grammy for Best Children’s Spoken Word Recording. His work has been featured in Ken Burns’ documentary The National Parks: America’s Best Idea and on popular compilation albums, along with his six solo CDs. For more info, visit BillMize.com.
