Commissioners receive letters, resignations

EATON — During their meeting on Monday, Aug. 1, Preble County Commissioners approved various financial considerations, correspondence and reports, and travel requests.

Commissioners also designated the month of August 2022 as Child Support Awareness Month in Preble County.

In other business, commissioners:

•Noted receipt of two letters voicing concerns about a proposed solar development in Harrison Township.

•Approved a legal ad, bid specs, and bid form for a Paint Road Bridge replacement project for the Preble County Engineer’s Office.

•Noted receipt of a letter from the Preble County Board of Developmental Disabilities regarding the resignation of Todd Fitzgerald, the service and support administrator. Commissioner David Haber explained, “This is a letter from the auditor’s office that Todd Fitzgerald has resigned his service and support administration position effective July 1.”

•Approved a travel request for Keith Carr and Sarah Bowman from Veteran Services to travel to Dublin for training.
