EATON — On Wednesday, Aug. 3, the Preble County Board of Commissioners met for its regular meeting in between attending events at the 172nd Preble County Fair.

Commissioners congratulated Kevin Caplinger on his retirement after more than 27 years of work in his career at the Preble County Sheriff’s Office. They also commended Roy Spencer following his resignation from the Board of Elections, after over 40 years of service.

Commissioners also took note of the resignation of David Anderson from the Emergency Management Agency, and approved the hire of Suzy Cottingim as the new EMA Director.
