PC Auditor issues July report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright has released her monthly financial report for July.

During the month of July, according to Wright, the county’s General Fund receipts totaled $1,036,105.72.

Sales tax revenue for July totaled $647,127.33 from May 2022 sales. Local Taxation came in at $53,305.80, Charges for Services at $73,442.54, Interest at $46,458.56 and Fines & Forfeitures at $3,896.44, she noted.

The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $17,733.30 and had no expenditures for the month.

Expenditures

July 2022 General Fund disbursements totaled $1,156,542.53, according to Wright.

Salaries, P.E.R.S. and Medicare disbursements for July were $602,135.82.

Transfers for the month included $19,565.73 to Job and Family Services.

Total expenditures included supplies ($37,576.95,) health insurance ($103,299,) contract services ($331,221.91,) utilities ($6,516.38,) and training/travel, advertising/printing and other expenses ($28,765.77.)

Preble County had more expenditures than receipts by $120,436.81 for the month of July, according to the report.

Year-to-date

The county’s General Fund began 2022 with a cash balance of $8,943,589.65 and ended the month of July with $9,489,642.19, according to Wright.

General Fund receipts for July 2022 were down by $51,222.27. Sales tax was up $456.34, charges for services were down by $42,672.81 and interest was down $4,154.49.

Expenditures for July 2022 were $113,328.25 less than what they were in 2021, according to Wright

Supplies were up $10,642.11, contracted services were up $91,621.52, other expenses were up $10,639.66 and equipment was down by $48,684.
