LEWISBURG — On Friday, Sept. 2, Lewisburg welcomed a new local small business, Village Bloom & Boutique.

Lewisburg Chamber of Commerce members, village council members, State Representative Rodney Creech and others gathered at 105 North Commerce Street to congratulate owner Kelsey Mangan.

Village Bloom & Boutique is a small town flower shop which sells home décor and other items.

Mangan is a 31-year-old Lewisburg native who attended the University of Cincinnati. She has worked as a paralegal with her criminal law degree for the past 10 years.

Mangan explained she was passionate about small businesses, “I really always wanted to be a small business owner. I helped small businesses get off the ground and so I was like, I’m ready to do something for me.”

“I’ve always loved plants and flowers,” she explained why she wanted to be a florist and bring her business to her hometown. “It’s been a long time that this [building] hasn’t been open. Also, there hasn’t been a florist in Lewisburg for quite a while.”

Lewisburg and state officials welcomed new business owner Kelsey Mangan and her flower shop, Village Bloom & Boutique, with a ribbon cutting on Friday, Sept. 2.
