LEWISBURG — On Monday, Sept. 19, the Tri-County North Local Schools Board of Education met to discuss various items.
Superintendent Bill Derringer advised the board there had been several resignations. He reported Kim Barney, a bus driver; Kevin Love, a middle school science fair advisor; Brenda Kesler, a cook, and Dodi Finnigan, a middle school quiz team advisor, had all recently resigned.
Derringer also took time in his report to recognize an employee with perfect attendance from the 2021-2022 school year: Stephanie Schieltz-Lowder.
In other business, the board:
•Approved the expenses and travel for board president, Vickie Woodyard, to attend the Ohio School Board Association Capital Conference in Columbus, Nov. 13-15. The alternate member to attend is Rod Schaar. Woodyard would attend the conference along with Derringer and Treasurer Lynn Ferguson.
•Approved the overnight stay for TCN FFA students going to Convention Center & Lucas Oil Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Oct. 26-28.
•Adopted the 2022-2023 Wee Panthers Family Handbook.
•Granted the treasurer permission to establish a fund for the class of 2027.
The TCN school board holds regular meetings every third Monday of the month.
