WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Preble County Chamber of Commerce, along with members of the West Alexandria Village Council, participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of a new shop, Magic Charm, in West Alexandria, on Thursday, Nov. 10.

“I just want to thank everybody. Hopefully you know how grateful I am for all of you, and if you don’t, I will do my best make sure you know. Because I couldn’t have done this without you,” said Magic Charm owner Megan Kiracofe.

“Magic Charm started when I made jewelry and incense and stuff — I combined the two into a magic charm. We started as a pop-up business back in 2017; we lived in Florida. And Florida was really great. But when we moved to Preble County we killed it, and I think it might have been because of family and friends. We owe a lot to them.

“It has grown so much that we outgrew our tent, now we’re in a store. Like I said, we owe everything to this community, and we’re really excited to be a part of it. We are going to be a part of the community by having art classes for adults, kids, and getting involved with the highschoolers. We’re going to do a mural and beautify the city program, and we just want them to know that the community is always welcome,” concluded Kiracofe.

Megan’s husband Ryan is a West Alexandria native and graduate of Twin Valley South. The couple has a newly adopted son, Ryker.

Magic Charm is officially open for business and is located at 14 East Dayton Street in the village.
