Level 2 Snow Emergency issued

UPDATE: EATON — Effective at 5:30 a.m., Sheriff Mike Simpson increased the snow emergency to LEVEL 2 for Preble County.

A level two snow emergency means that roadways are hazardous due to blowing and drifting snow. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways.

People should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Obviously, if driving, use extreme caution. Sustained winds are causing major issues with visibility across the county.

Road crews continue their efforts on the roadways, but it is challenging due to the high winds.

EATON — Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson has issued a Level 1 Snow Emergency for Preble County effective at 10:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 22.

A Level 1 snow emergency means roadways are snow covered and hazardous. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
