OXFORD — The Oxford Police Division filed the following recent incident reports:

July 25

Defendant at 716 Erin Drive arrested on outstanding warrants issued by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

July 26

Officer met with victim in CVS parking lot, 123 Spring St., regarding a leaf blower being stolen out of the back of his pickup truck.

Juvenile arrested for theft at Kroger, 300 S. Locust St.

July 27

Restaurant at 5076 College Corner Pike reported receiving fraudulent U.S. currency.

Victim at 7 Meadow Circle reported gardening equipment stolen overnight.

Officers were dispatched to McCullough-Hyde emergency room on a reported sexual assault.

July 29

Male subject reported he was assaulted by an employee of Side Bar, 17 N. Poplar.

Resident at 212 N. Beech St. reported laptop and video game system stolen from an apartment while resident at home.

July 30

Prescription medications reported stolen from a male’s apartment at 518 S. Main St.

July 31

Subject arrested on existing warrants from other agencies and for criminal trespass for entering the Walmart store after being told not to enter the store by store employees.

A verbal altercation occurred while a husband was collecting his items from his wife’s residence at 617 S. College Ave.

Aug. 1

Victims reported suspect attempted to break into house at 46 Kelly Drive.

Victim found his truck’s window damaged when he returned home to 205 W. Sycamore St.

Female student at 124 W. Church St. reported passport possibly stolen.

Officer met with victim at Oxford Police Department regarding a stolen bicycle.

Aug. 2

Elderly female reported items stolen from her residence. She suspects her neighbor’s son is responsible because he was in her residence and she believes he is addicted to drugs.

Aug. 3

Known male previously trespassed from Walmart, 5720 College Corner Pike, failed to comply with trespass order and entered the store. He was positively identified by employees and on video surveillance. Complain warrant was requested.

Suspect stole makeup from inside Walmart, 5720 College Corner Pike. Five minutes after suspect walked out with it concealed, she walked back in and returned the stolen merchandise for monies. More investigation expected.

Aug. 4

Walmart employee found small amount of marijuana on a shelf. Police confiscated it.

Aug. 5

Two males were stopped in the parking lot at 5262 Brown Road.. One was carrying a Century 21 real estate sign. After a brief investigation, a 22-year-old male was taken into custody for obstructing official business. A second 22-year-old male was taken into custody for receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. Both were transported to the Butler County Jail.

Lawn and garden business at 5399 College Corner Pike reported items taken from work truck on two different occasions in Oxford. Both theft occurrence were from employees while on a job site or nearby with no possible suspects in mind.

A 34-year-old male was identified during a traffic stop at 5399 College Corner Pike. After a brief investigation the male was taken into custody on an arrest warrant out of Eaton Police Department.

Aug. 6

Nineteen-year-old female found intoxicated and unable to care for herself by a passerby in the 600 block of West Chestnut St. She was cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

Cleaning worker at 6 E. Spring St. reported a possible trespass at one of her contracted properties. Items were left in plain view and the suspect used the downstairs restroom. The landlord was contacted and advised no one had permission to be inside the residence.

Male subject at 112 S. Campus Ave. reported someone entered the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity house sometime over the summer and took items from his room. He stated, upon arriving on Aug. 6 to pick them up, he found one of the doors to the house to be unlocked and open. Property management was made aware. No suspects.

Officer observed a male walking on S. Locust Street whom was believed to have outstanding warrants. Officer confirmed the warrants and took the subject into custody. During a search of his person, he warned the officer he had a needle and spoon concealed in the lining of his shorts. Officer retained the items and found the needle contained a liquid. The male said the needle contained a dose of heroin which was ready to be injected. Male also had warrants out of Hamilton PD. He was eventually transported to Butler County Jail.

Aug. 7

Twenty-year-old male was found to be in possession of an Indiana Driver Licence which belonged to someone else. He was cited.

Victim was struck several times by a group of males at 36 E. High St. One male was identified and charged.

Resident at 227 Country Club Lane reported sometime during the night someone entered his shed in his back lawn and took a weedeater. He also reported a Donald Trump political sign missing from his front yard. There are no suspects at this time.

Residents at 229 Country Club Lane discovered their shed had also been entered and push mower was missing. No suspects at this time.

A male reported his bike stolen from his apartment complex common area. He said it was chained to a stairway pole at 251 Reagan Place.

Resident of 302 N. Main St. reported someone broke out a side door window pane. Resident stated all doors and windows were locked when they left. No items reported missing at this time. There are no suspects at this time.

Aug. 8

Female at 6 E. Sycamore St. her husband struck her several times in the face during an argument.

Victim reported a male subject who had been living with her for a week left in the middle of the night and stole $30 from the victim’s purse. Unable to locate the suspect at this time.
