Senior center seeking passage of levy

PREBLE COUNTY — On Nov. 8, the Preble County Council on Aging will have a tax levy on the ballot, Issue 25.

The PCCOA is asking for a renewal levy which means, no increase in taxes and the Council on Aging is not asking for additional money.

The tax levy provides approximately 57 percent of Preble County Council on Aging income. The rest of the income is largely made up of grant dollars, contracts, contributions and donations.

Over the next few weeks the PCCOA will share in more detail what they do with tax dollars and how voting yes on Issue 25 supports seniors in the community and county.

In the meantime, those at the PCOOA want county residents to know they are offering transportation on Nov. 8, to the polls as well as helping with absentee ballots. Call 937-456-4947 for more information.
